Biography
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mazura Jusoh is an academic staff in School of Chemical and Energy Engineering (SCEE), Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Head of UTM’s Advanced Material and Separation Technologies Research Group (AMSET). She graduated from University of Bradford, England in 1999 and PhD in Chemical Engineering from UTM in 2010. She has been with UTM since 1999.
Research Area
Research wise, Dr. Mazura has a strong background in chemical engineering separation technologies, more specifically in freeze concentration which deals with crystallisation of pure ice from a solution for water removal purpose. The technology can be applied in liquid food concentration, water purification, desalination and wastewater treatment. She has published 113 academic manuscripts and 2 books, filed two patents and has a H-index of 16. She has so far 5 PhD students graduated as Main Supervisor and several others as Co-supervisor, as well as a few Master students. Collectively, she has been the project leader and research member for 15 research grants, amounting to nearly RM2 million since 2004.
